While he was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Daniel has been living in the Western portion of the state for the past 16 years and is proud to call it his “home base”. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in music from Western Carolina University in 2010, he relocated to Asheville. During the past decade, one could likely catch him playing upright bass with any number of local bands or musicians around Asheville, unless of course, he was touring the world spreading music and his love of it far and wide.
Daniel is an avid rock climber, soccer player, and all-around outdoorsman. This being the case, he has a vast knowledge of the geography and topography of these mountains and enjoys seeking out the most remote regions to fulfill his passion for exploration and adventure. If he is not at home with his cats, there is a good chance he is on a rock face somewhere high above his last piece of protection.
One of the biggest benefits of traveling the country and the world for Daniel has been the realization that these mountains are one of the most beautiful places on the planet. No matter how far he travels, or for how long, he always loves coming back to his “home base”. It was this realization that brought him to real estate. Only four months ago, we set out to find some unrestricted land in the vast Blue Ridge Mountains and spectacular Pisgah Forest. This was a life-changing decision. As lifelong music teachers in Charlotte, we never thought this drastic, wonderful adventure was in our reach. Probably one of so many, the pandemic drew us toward nature for solace and purpose. After taking a stab at it on our own, we crossed paths with Land Crazy. We believed that if we met the right person to help us, we would surely know it. In Danny Ianucci, a trail guide arrived on multiple levels! From the beginning, his manner was as a kind, supportive friend. I think he and Tom were actually out trekking when he put Danny on his cell phone with me. His knowledge, of both the real estate industry and of the natural world that defines Western NC, was such a welcome blend.
